Top Class of 2021 prospect Jaden Hardy signed with the NBA G League Ignite, the league announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4 guard from Coronado High School in Henderson, Nev., is rated as the No. 2 player in the class by ESPN and No. 3 by the 247Sports composite.

"I would like to thank God for blessing me. I would like to thank my family and friends for their love and support. I am so excited and fired up that I am turning pro and playing for the NBA G League Ignite," Hardy said.

Hardy averaged 30.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.4 assists during his junior season in 2019-20 and was named the Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year. He was a 2021 McDonald's High School All-American.

A Detroit native, Hardy is the second top-10 prospect from the class of 2021 to sign with the Ignite, joining forward Michael Foster Jr. of Phoenix's Hillcrest Prep (ranked No. 7 by ESPN). Sterling "Scoot" Henderson, the No. 1-ranked point guard in the Class of 2022, is also joining the Ignite.

The Ignite are coached by former NBA player Brian Shaw, who coached the Denver Nuggets for two seasons and was an NBA assistant for 11. The team is based in Walnut Creek, Calif.
